Global Timber Products Ltd was formed in October 2009.
Headed up by Ian Freeman, Managing Director and Robert Grant, Sales Director whom between them have over 60 years experience in the specialist softwood and hardwood trade.
Our company ethos is to offer a solution to your timber needs. During their careers the Directors have worked hard to build a reputation for integrity with independent and national merchants, the joinery trade and the general public.
Located on a four acre site in Hixon near Stafford, our site incorporates 16,000 square feet of machining space, along with both covered and uncovered timber storage enabling us to keep extensive stocks of clear grade softwoods and hardwoods.
We offer a full machining and coating facility on all timber products, many of which are kept in stock for immediate delivery.
Our services include our own in-house manufacturing (two 6 head Weinig moulders, spindle moulders, thicknesser/planer, crosscut etc.), machining/profiling section sizes up to 150 x 250, manufacturing standard (cladding, skirtings, architraves etc) and bespoke mouldings, all cutters produced in our own toolroom
Global Timber Products Ltd is a responsible purchaser of timber and has achieved Chain of Custody status with PEFC, and we are therefore able to meet your requirements with regards to responsibly sourced, sustainable materials.
We are able to machine both softwoods and hardwoods to any given profile that you may require, give us a sample or drawing of your requirements and we will do the rest. We are able to deliver these specials usually within 7-10 working days.
On all stock items delivery is 24/48 hours from order. We aim to source any timber that you require – you name it we’ll find it.

Managing Director
Having spent all of his working life in the timber trade, Ian Freeman proudly leads and part owns Global Timber Products Ltd.
Having gained valuable experience with other timber importers at Director level his ethos is to offer goods of high quality at competitive prices delivered as efficiently as possible.
Building a loyal customer base and key supply chain, Global Timber Products promises to service all orders large or small to anywhere within the UK.
Rob Grant
Sales Director
Having joined the timber trade as a school leaver in 1988, Robert Grant has spent his entire working career specialising in Clear Grade Softwoods and Hardwoods.
Having established his experience and reputation in this sector, he is now part owner in Global Timber Products, operating as Sales Director.
Benn Brown
Finance Director
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
Trained with KPMG with experience in financial reporting, forecasting and commercial negotiation.
Worked in a range of industries in Senior roles in the UK and the USA.
Responsible for all areas of finance for the business as well as IT and all legal matters.
